Jim Crook Building

The Jim Crook Building is located behind the Marie Boe building on the eastern side of the Fairgrounds. At 600 square feet, this building offers a small meeting space for small groups. Its the perfect place for small workshops or classes. Who is Jim Crook? Jim Crook was a San Juan Island settler and inventor, who among many things made his own carding machine to process wool. The Jim Crook Building was built to display Jim's carding machine and other inventions, which now reside at the San Juan Historical Museum.
This building is available to rent! Rental rates start at $30/hour, $175/week or $600/month depending on the details of your event. It includes the use of restrooms, 20 chairs, 6 tables, and has a 20 person capacity. Please fill out our Event Application to inquire about renting the Jim Crook building.
